Important clarification

Sponsorship does not purchase, reserve or transfer ownership of a dog, and it does not create adoption priority or placement authority. Adoption and placement decisions remain with the dog’s legal owner or responsible organization and are based on the dog’s needs and the quality of the match.

Sponsorship program status

Choose a four legged relative to sponsor and help provide dependable support for food, veterinary care, training, enrichment, supplies and other needs. Sponsorship is a charitable contribution that supports Ozzy’s rescue mission and does not provide ownership, reservation, exclusive access or adoption priority.

Sponsor more than one four-legged relative

You are welcome to sponsor more than one four-legged relative. During checkout, list the name and identification number of each dog you would like your sponsorship connected to. If you would like to provide different sponsorship amounts for different dogs, please submit a separate donation for each dog so that every sponsorship can be recorded accurately.

How sponsorship funds may be used

Sponsorship gifts support the care of dogs served by Ozzy’s Rescue & Sanctuary and may be used for veterinary care, food, supplies, training, enrichment, transportation, foster support, sanctuary care and other program expenses. Sponsorship is connected to a dog’s story and care category, but it is not a restricted trust account for that individual dog unless Ozzy’s Rescue & Sanctuary expressly states otherwise in writing.

Updates and recurring sponsorships

We plan to share meaningful updates when available, but no fixed update schedule is guaranteed. If a selected dog is adopted, transferred or otherwise leaves the program, recurring sponsors may choose another eligible dog, the Foster Care Program, the Sanctuary Care Program, the Greatest Need Fund or cancel future gifts. If we do not receive a response within 30 days of notice, future recurring payments will support the Greatest Need Fund.
