Yes. Fostering is temporary and gives a dog a safe place to decompress while Ozzy’s learns more about what that dog needs in a long-term home.
The foster program is designed around communication, guidance and coordinated support for the dog. Final public details about supplies, veterinary arrangements and other foster support will reflect the approved foster program before launch.
Volunteer opportunities may include dog care, transportation, events, creative work, professional skills and other forms of mission support. Availability will depend on current needs.
The site will provide approved pathways for one-time giving, monthly support, dog sponsorship, Wish List and in-kind giving, tribute giving and other verified opportunities.
Dog sponsorship is a planned giving opportunity that will allow supporters to connect their contributions with the story and care of an adoptable dog or future sanctuary resident. Program details will be published after the approved donation and animal-record systems are in place.
Use the Rescue Assistance pathway for a found dog, rehoming need, pet-retention question or rescue-partnership request. Providing clear, complete information helps Ozzy’s understand the situation and determine what assistance may be possible.
The Ozzy’s Sanctuary Fund is a dedicated fundraising initiative intended to help turn our sanctuary goal into a safe, permanent place for dogs who may not be suited to traditional adoption. Contributions will support the work required to responsibly plan, establish and equip the future sanctuary. The final location, size, design, capacity and development schedule will depend on property selection, due diligence, governmental approvals, available funding and the needs of the dogs.
Depending on the approved property and development plan, the fund may support property due diligence and acquisition; land-use review, permits and professional services; site planning and design; safe kennel and sanctuary housing; fencing and secure outdoor areas; veterinary, isolation and quarantine capability; water, power, drainage, sanitation and other utilities; fire and emergency-safety systems; enrichment areas, storage and essential equipment; and other capital needs required to create a responsible long-term sanctuary. Every contribution moves this goal closer to reality, and major gifts, grants, sponsorships, in-kind support and community partnerships are welcome.
Building a permanent sanctuary is a major future goal for Ozzy’s Rescue & Sanctuary. The planned sanctuary will provide a safe, stable, long-term home for dogs whose age, medical needs, behavioral needs or individual circumstances make traditional adoption unsuitable. Ozzy’s does not yet operate the completed sanctuary facility; bringing it to fruition will depend on property, approvals, infrastructure and sustained financial support.
The Healing Pack is a developing dog-centered community-engagement initiative. It is not medical treatment, psychotherapy, detoxification, mental-health treatment or substance-use-disorder treatment.
The Resources & Education section is designed to provide practical public information for dog owners, adopters, fosters and community members. Educational content does not replace individualized veterinary care.
