Senior Dogs
Old doesn't mean finished.
A dog's final chapter deserves as much compassion as the first.
SANCTUARY
Help Us Build a Place Where Every Dog Can Belong.
A permanent sanctuary is one of Ozzy’s Rescue & Sanctuary’s most important long-term goals. We are working toward a safe, stable place for dogs who may not be suited to traditional adoption because of age, medical needs, behavioral needs or other individual circumstances. The completed sanctuary does not yet exist, and bringing it to fruition will require property, careful planning, governmental approvals, appropriate infrastructure and substantial financial support.
What Sanctuary Means
Our vision of sanctuary is not a waiting room and not a promise to keep dogs in kennels indefinitely. It is a commitment to quality of life: safety, comfort, individualized care, enrichment, relationships, routine and belonging for dogs whose right home may ultimately be with Ozzy’s.
Dogs With Ongoing Needs
Greater care needs do not make a life worth less.
The Ozzy’s Sanctuary Fund
The Ozzy’s Sanctuary Fund is a dedicated fundraising initiative intended to help transform this vision into a responsibly planned, properly permitted and sustainable sanctuary. We need financial support at every level: individual donations, monthly giving, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, in-kind contributions and professional partnerships.
Depending on the property and development plan ultimately approved, contributions may support due diligence and acquisition, permitting and professional services, site design, safe housing and kennels, fencing and outdoor areas, veterinary and isolation capability, water and utilities, drainage and sanitation, fire and emergency-safety systems, enrichment spaces, storage, equipment and other essential infrastructure.
The final location, size, capacity, design and construction schedule have not yet been determined. Ozzy’s will pursue each step carefully and will share verified milestones as the project advances. Your support can help give dogs who need lifelong care the safety, dignity and belonging they deserve.

The Dogs This Goal Will Serve
As the sanctuary is developed and dogs eventually enter long-term care, each resident should have an individual profile showing who they are, what they love, what support they need and what everyday life looks like. Until then, this page will report honestly on the progress toward making the sanctuary a reality.
